Slingink began its life as a spin-off from an online fiction writing course and, although its members are writing in a range of fields, the element that brings everyone together is a desire to write fiction.

The group currently has more than 500 registered members, and although numbers are increasing, it aims to retain an informal and supportive atmosphere.

With regular chat meetings, a writers’ forum, facilities for peer critique and other scheduled activities, the group is effective both as a stimulus for writing and for a bit of understanding company in an otherwise solitary occupation.

We've produced a number of Slingink Anthologies, which are available in the SlingInk Shop.

Anyone who has an interest in writing fiction, from beginners to accomplished professionals, is more than welcome to come and join the group.
